A well known pattern developed by Capt. Steve Huff, the Backcountry Sweeper is truly at home being thrown into the nooks and crannies of a mangrove shoreline. It can be tucked right into the bushes with little fear of hanging up due to its heavy bent fluorocarbon weed guard. Lightweight and subtle, this fly rides close to the surface but can be modified to sink a little deeper by trimming or plucking a bit of the deer hair from the head and collar. This awesome pattern just screams "I'm food" to hungry predators on the prowl.
