With a length of just over 1" and a solid hook, the Tak's Mini Minnow is the right choice when predators are feasting on tiny baitfish. It bears a close resemblance to the gambusia (mosquitofish) found in freshwater all over Florida. If you fish the St. Johns River for American shad, this is a good fly to have on hand when the water drops and gambusia are forced off of the floodplain and into the main river channel.
