A mix of two or more colors of standard EP Fibers which will give your patterns a more natural, three dimensional look.
EP Fiber is one of the best materials available for tying imitations of baitfish, shrimp, crabs, crayfish etc. If it swims you can probably imitate it with the right mix of EP Fiber and a little flash. Takes marker well so you can add all the barring you want, and does not absorb water. The 10" length gives you the ability to tie large flies.
Use less material than you think you need and, if tying hi-ties, tie the material in in the middle with half facing forward and then fold the forward facing portion back and tie it down. Once you have a large "hairball" used curved scissors to shape it and taperizers, if needed, to taper out the back of the body.
