Sizing:
- Regular - 3 - 7 weight
- Large - 8 - 12 weight
- Extra Large - Spey Lines.
Attaching the loop to your line:
- Slide the sleeve up over the doubled portion of the loop.
- Trim the end of the fly line at a 45 degree angle and slide it up into the loop until it meets the doubled portion.
- To move the fly line into the braided monofilament, insert the tip of the line then pinch the braid near the frayed end and pinch it againd the line. With your other hand, lightly pinch the braid just above the fly line and push it towards the fly line. Loosen your other hand allowing the braid to inch its way onto the fly line.
- When the loop is in place, grasp the mono loop with one hand and, with your other hand, slide your fingers down the loop making sure it is fully extended. If there is a gap between the end of the fly line and the doubled portion of the loop, inch the line a littel further in and smooth the braid out again.
- When the loop is in place, slide the sleeve over the fly line to within about a sleeve length of the end of the braid. Ignore the frayed portion for now. Put a light coating of superglue on the braid and slide the sleeve over the glued portion.
- Roll the sleeve between your fingers to make sure the sleeve is tight to the monofilament and in contact with the glue. Be careful not to glue your fingers to the sleeve!
- Once the glue is dry, trim the excess braid away. It's a bit trickier but for a cleaner look, you could trim the frayed portion of the braid before applying glue and slide the sleeve right to the end.
