This is the ideal tool for making close, precise cuts in wire and monofilament. If you tie with pre-made dubbing brushes with a wire core, like the EP Foxy Brush or Just Add H2O Streamer Brush, then one of these will make your tying easier. When it's time to tie the dubbing brush off, just put a couple locking wraps around it, cut the wire right in front, and wrap back over the short tag end. Much more convenient than destroying your tying scissors or bending the wire until it breaks!
